This past week I got to go home to New Jersey and visit my friend Kristin and her adorable, hilarious daughter Kelly. Kelly however, was not the

star of this photoshoot. We went over to visit her cousins who are turning 1 this month, and who happen to be triplets!

From the minute I got there thay were all smiles, and couldn't be happier to be outside.

And then couldn't be happier to get rid of their outfits, of course!

Kristin, you got some trouble on your hands.

Dear Chris and Amanda,

Thank you for being awesome. And Adam wants to send out a special thank you for having bacon at the reception. Seriously, does it get any better?

On anther note, I wanted to include just a few of my favorite pictures from the day. Going through all the of pictures we take at a wedding, a lot of the

time reception pictures get overlooked. However, there's something really special about these first few.

I have so many more good things to say about this day/these people, I could go on forever.

Truly, truly a couple made for each other!

First of all, I'd like to pat myself on the back for updating more than once a week! I know some of you out there in internetland will be proud.

Anyway, this past weekend I got to help my friend David Vaughan shoot a wedding up in Rye, NY. And for the first time

ever, I got to spend an entire morning with the men!

No makeup, no hair, just eight guys and a sink filled with ice and Stellas at the Hilton.

Oh, and they just happened to have the flowers, rings and every other trinket you could imagine in their suite. When we were done with our mini GQ

photoshoot, there were a million other pictures to be taken. These are a few of my favorites...

Also, the bride and groom decided to see each other before the ceremony. Definitely one of their best decisions!

Well, after a very interesting holiday weekend I'm glad to say everyone still has all their fingers.

We spent July 3 however, on a yacht departing from Chelsea Piers. Now, when I met Jason and he told me about

this seriously beautiful event, I wasn't sure what to expect. The Atlantica turned out to be quite the

ship, with an awesome crew and captain to match.

The day of their ceremony, we arrived to the faint sound of the band warming up on the lower deck, and the bridesmaids getting ready in

the back cabin. Everyone was in great spirits, and from there out it was smooth sailing. (hah!)

Also, props to Theresa over at Dop Dop Salon for hair and makeup. You wouldn't believe the great comments I was hearing throughout

the day. So glam, this first shot blows me away...

We are in a heatwave.

I watered my plants outside on the window sill this morning, and they were dead by sunset. Yeah, it's THAT kind of heatwave.

So in good heatwave fashion, Adam slept all day and I pretended to do work inside until the sun decided to give up.

However! I did manage to finish up a wedding and an engagement shoot from this past month.

Vanessa and Adam - I have to say, we're both pretty excited for September to roll around.

Getting to come home to NJ, shoot a beautiful wedding and play lawn games? Well it just doesn't get much better than that!

It's one of my favorite things to hear from past clients out of the blue, especially when they have news as cute as this..

Or, in this case, news 2x as cute as this..

So, this is what happens when you leave a new mommy and her photographer alone with twins.. lots of outfits and babies in containers!

These little guys were so serious, but we managed to get a couple smiles out of them. They had more of a GQ photoshoot in mind than the

whole 'baby cutesy' thing we were hoping for.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job?

First of all, let me say that Matt and Shannon are a match made in heaven. And if you can't tell it from this first

set of pictures, well then you need to have your eyes checked!

This perfect day started when we drove up to see Shannon on the front porch, playing with her dog and about as

carefree as anyone could hope to be on their wedding day. From beginning to end - the live band playing them down the aisle, to the dj and mm bop

playing them out - it was one of the happiest days I've ever seen.

Have fun in wine country!

And don't listen to cousin Dan.. spit the wine out!

Shannon and I spoke for weeks about ideas for their wedding portraits, and I don't think I could be much happier with

the way they turned out. Seriously adorable!

About two years ago, on a very cold winter night I was having dinner at a pub back in my home town. From across the

room, I spotted one of my closest friends from high school who I hadn't seen in years. I stood up, walked over and yelled, 'Hey you!" She

spun around with a big smile on her face, and an even bigger belly! Kristin, you're one of the coolest

moms I know. I'm really glad we got back together, even if I don't see you as often as I'd like.

This kid is due for some new pictures soon!

Chris and Amanda, you guys are troopers. In light of our adventure the other day, I thought I'd put together a guide for

anyone else who plans on having their engagement shoot in the city! They can only hope to be as lucky as we were.

The Photographer's Guide to a Successful Engagement Shoot

1) Be sure to schedule it on the same day as a major bike tour. Plan accordingly so that you only drive into detours.

2) Also, make sure to run into at least two street fairs in the locations you planned to shoot.

3) Pick the hottest day you can find.

4) Spend three hours in the car learning each other's life story!

Follow these rules, and you might come away with something like this..

What a great day! Beautiful weather and light in Gansevoort square.

What more could I ask for?
