Chris and Amanda, you guys are troopers. In light of our adventure the other day, I thought I'd put together a guide for

anyone else who plans on having their engagement shoot in the city! They can only hope to be as lucky as we were.

The Photographer's Guide to a Successful Engagement Shoot

1) Be sure to schedule it on the same day as a major bike tour. Plan accordingly so that you only drive into detours.

2) Also, make sure to run into at least two street fairs in the locations you planned to shoot.

3) Pick the hottest day you can find.

4) Spend three hours in the car learning each other's life story!

Follow these rules, and you might come away with something like this..

What a great day! Beautiful weather and light in Gansevoort square.

What more could I ask for?

Yesterday, Adam and myself had our final inteview with our new intern..

Personally, I'm not too sure how this is going to work out. First of all, he shoots Nikon. He also prefers to shoot with the lens cap

on, says it's his style. When we asked him to take it off, he just screamed at us.

It's going to be a long summer.

We got a new lens last week, which couldn't have come at a better time since we saw the death of yet another lens while on vacation! Terrible, I know, but

these things happen.

I was kind of bummed that you can't read 'Las Vegas' in the background of this picture better.

We're back!

A few days ago Adam and myself stepped off the plane from one of the most tiring 'vacations' I have ever been on.

There are plenty of pictures to come, none of which I have even developed or looked at yet. (terrible, I know)

But what's a post without a picture? For now, here's one from last year..

These two haven't even seen this picture yet. Needless to say, this was a very last minute

frame, taken in the subway right before we all went our separate ways after a great day of shooting around the city.

Better late than never?!

So, the other day I got to work with these two great ladies, and play around with my new favorite

prop. (Which continued to show its age and break twice during the shoot!)

I found an antique shop in my home town this past week that just opened.

My mom (being the social butterfly that she is) happens to be friends with the owner, who could not possibly be any nicer. He owns

a strip of buildings on main street, and decided to set up shop in a vacant 'Curves' that went out of business. For those of you who may not know, Curves is a

chain of workout gyms for women. So, picture an antique store with neon pink, purple and green walls for the time being.

Awesome? Yes.

Long story short, I plan on going back very soon.

Out of hibernation! After a long, cold winter.

I'm happy to say that we've been meeting some really great people over the past few months, and the summer is starting to look quite eventful.

Today, I decided to post some of Adam's studio/commercial work and some of my own shots from home.

Have to take pictures of something in this winter slump!

In more recent news, I've been trying to convince him that we need to break the bank and head out to WPPI this year.

It's like a business trip.. right?

Stacy and John found us at the beginning of the summer. I rememer when we met them, they were so laid back and just

happy to be getting married. The way it should be!

To both of you, thanks for letting us be there on your big day. I can honestly say it was a blast!

After a few weeks of shooting, editing, traveling, and getting some equipment stolen, we are finally back on track!

Hope to have a few more weddings up in the coming days. We have been working with the best most down to earth people, and can only hope this trend carries

on to next year.. Judging by what we've booked so far, I'm already looking forward to it!

As for the present, last week we joined Jenn and Al for their gorgeous Pennsylvania vineyard wedding. I don't think I've ever seen so much rain, but the weather

decided to let up for a half hour or so before the ceremony.

Truly no better time for a wedding than the fall..

Who knew Brooklyn could be so much fun?!

Bryce and Sarah took us for a tour of their old neighborhood, which just happened to be gorgeous. Word to the wise, though.. beautiful parks get a bit crowded on labor day weekend!

These guys were almost too easy to work with. Speaking for both of us, can't wait to shoot your wedding next year!

In case you didn't know, we moved!

Our new home and workspace is settled in Manhattan on 1st avenue, high atop a Dunkin Donuts. We don't have the internet, and we sometimes have hot water. The joys of the city are endless! Other than that, things have been going really well.

One of Adam's friends introduced us to these two back in Jersey..

Singer/songwriters, Nalani and Serena. They were a blast to work with, and two of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet.

So excited about this wedding! I think after thier engagement session, we realized that Kim and Jared weren't going to make us work too hard on their

wedding day.. The church was gorgeous, the bridalparty couldn't have looked any better, and there was a live band playing the guests in!

A few shots from the day, until we get around to looking at them all.. expect an update soon!

There's surely nothing like the wedding day of two catholic school principals!

Sandria and Benny are two very dedicated and kind people. Proven by the sheer number of people who traveled from all over the world to share their wedding day

with them, including 6 priests!

Hardly a cloud in the sky all day, it was beautiful out. And as it goes, Sandria arrived at the church to walk in with her father..

and out with benny! Looking pretty happy, I might add. All in all, what a great day!

we met michelle at the salon the morning of her wedding. her bridesmaids were all a blast, and as you can tell, the whole place was in good spirits.

they ended up moving the ceremony outside, since it was so nice out that day. everything went off without a hitch.. some people have all the luck!

jeremy's brother put together a slideshow detailing their life together, and his proposal to michelle. definitely my favorite part of the day.

all in all, a really nice day for everyone. good luck you two!

How busy we've been! Earlier this week we had an engagement shoot with Kim and Jared. We really had a lot of fun

with them, and we honestly can't wait to shoot the wedding. They've put in a lot of time planning a wedding that fits them just right, and it sounds like a

genuine experience for everyone else lucky enough to attend.

some polaroids from the day, for the old school appreciators out there..

last but not least, one to remember the four of us ;)
